Denpomal Banjarmasin conducted a reconstruction of the murder case involving a female journalist, Juwita, who was killed by TNI AL soldier Jumran in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan. During the reconstruction on Saturday (4/5), Jumran, now with a shaved head and wearing an orange prison uniform with a “suspect” tag, reenacted the heinous crime. The event took place on Trans Kalimantan Road, Cempaka District.
Details of the Reconstruction
-
Location: Trans Kalimantan Road, Cempaka District, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan.
-
Total Scenes: 33 scenes reenacted.
-
Incident: Jumran killed Juwita by pinning her down and strangling her to death inside his car, while the victim’s motorcycle was left at a shopping center.
Revelations from the Reconstruction
-
Jumran’s brutal actions, including crushing the victim’s throat, were portrayed.
-
After killing Juwita, Jumran instructed someone to bring the victim’s motorcycle and then staged a scenario to make it look like the motorcycle was damaged from a fall.
-
Apart from the murder, Jumran also destroyed the victim’s mobile phone and washed the motorcycle to remove fingerprints.
Planned Murder
-
Jumran’s calm and calculated demeanor during the reconstruction led the victim’s family lawyer, Dedi Sugianto, to assert that the evidence pointed towards a meticulously planned murder.
-
The positioning of the victim’s body near the washed motorcycle indicated premeditation in trying to disguise the crime scene as an accident.
Dedi Sugianto, the family’s lawyer, present at the reconstruction, emphasized that all of Jumran’s movements during the reenactment, from the initial encounter to placing the body by the roadside alongside the victim’s vehicle, showcased a well-thought-out plan to eliminate the evidence.
